In preparation for the second phase of the program development, the ACS is now accepting applications for
ACS NSQIP Peds Phase II, scheduled to begin data collection in January 2010. The ACS NSQIP Peds is available to
freestanding general acute care children’s hospitals, children’s hospitals within a larger hospital, specialty
children’s hospitals, and general acute care hospitals with a pediatric wing. Hospitals interested in
participating in Phase II will be required to hire a full-time Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR), complete a
participation agreement, and pay an annual participation fee of $17,500. Enrollment for Phase II is limited and will
close on October 30th, 2009. The next opportunity to enroll in the Pediatric Program will open in Spring 2010 for data
collection beginning July 2010.
To apply to participate in this exciting development, please download and complete the application form located
below. Once an eligible hospital has completed the application process, ACS will send a participation agreement along
with the SCR job description and hiring guidelines. Hospitals that have secured a signed contract, paid the participation
fee, and have a SCR in place by October 30th will be able to send their SCR to training in December 2009. Data collection
will begin January 2010
